Chamber of Commerce
The Tenterden and District Chamber of Commerce exists to promote Tenterden and the surrounding villages, and to help and support businesses. We want to make Tenterden and the surrounding district a great place to run a business, provide a vibrant and affluent place to work and live in, and help make visitors enjoy what our area has to offer.
Networking with members, promoting our members and bringing business into the town and surrounding areas is an important part of our work. The Chamber helps promote the Members' businesses and the area with this website, our Facebook business page, and through our events, town brochures and walking guides.
Every year Tenterden hosts several major events and the Chamber of Commerce helps to contribute to the success of these events by advertising and offering support when asked.
- May Fair
- Tentertainment
- Folk Festival
- Bonfire Night and Fireworks
- Christmas Lights and Late Night Shopping - organised by the Chamber
I expect you all saw the Christmas lights and trees in Tenterden High Street over Christmas 2009 and I hope you agree with us that they were better than ever - we certainly received many positive comments. Although we receive financial help from Ashford Borough Council and Tenterden Town Council, we still rely heavily on Chamber members to make the lights possible.
