Kench Hill Centre

Kench Hill is a residential education centre which provides 3 star hostel accommodation and meeting rooms for up to 45 guests. It is surrounded by beautiful grounds in a peaceful setting, with plenty of facilities for children, ideal for a retreat or family gathering. Self-catered groups are welcome, we can also provide a range of catering options eg bed and breakfast or fully catered. The elegant Georgian manor house and gardens make a great location for an alternative wedding reception or formal event.

 

Staying at Kench Hill 

The Kench Hill Charity manages the Centre to provide outdoor learning and personal development for disadvantaged groups.  We aim to operate as sustainably as possible in all aspects of our work.  We expect our guests to support our recycling efforts and to reduce waste and energy consumption.  We have our own kitchen garden and chickens, visitors may be able to purchase our own freshly grown produce and eggs. We can also provide a range of taught activities with expert staff.

 

Accommodation

The accommodation includes 1 x double bedroom, 3 x single and 7 x bunk-bed rooms (2-8 beds), plus wheelchair accessible bedroom and facilities on ground floor (sleeps up to 3).  All bedrooms contain handbasins, with plentiful showers and WC's on each floor. Bedding is provided. There is a large dining-room, two lounges (one with piano), kitchen and washing-up area, cloakrooms and outdoor seating and campfire areas.  Wifi and internet points are available, Freeview TV and DVD player
