In our mens and ladies shoe section we have a wide range of shoes, catering for all ages and sizes including shoes for very wide feet. We also sell sandals, walking boots and wellingtons.

Footwear and Shoes

We are specialists in Tenterden for wide fitting shoes in small and large sizes. We stock many brands of shoes including Padders, and DB shoes which are highly recommended by a local chiropodist in Tenterden. We also stock many brands of walking boots and trainers including easy B shoes and Hi-tec. We sell shoe care products to keep your footwear clean and waterproofed, namely Kiwi, Nikwax and many more. There are also shoes, trainers and boots for girls and boys aged 12+

Clothes

We have a wide selection of quality brand jeans including Wrangler, Farrar and Carabou, and we also carry over 1000 pairs of quality trousers. Try our shooting coats – Dickie’s wax jackets and Sherwood shooting gear. We also have thermal underwear with ski-wear by Dare 2B and Trespass for all the family. More of our specialty brands are overalls by Dukes and Castle.

Extra large sized clothing

We have an extra large sized clothing section; tops to 4X large, trousers up to 56-inch waist.

New summer stock arrives in March – sandals, shorts, summer trousers, lightweight cruise jackets.

Our friendly hand-picked and specialist trained staff are ready to help you with fittings. Alterations are free and are normally completed while you wait.

Interesting facts about Swaines

· There has been a shoe shop at our premises since the early 19th century.
· The Swaines family have been working in this business here in Tenterden since sometime between World War I and II.
· Before Christmas (remember the weather) Swaines sold over 300 pairs of wellingtons and moon-boots.
