About Us

We are a family run business, established in Tenterden on the picturesque high street since 1984. Our original business of cabinet-makers dates back to 1826 and was based in Bedfordshire. In 2008 we moved to our current location nearer the town centre and our premises now boast over 6,000 square feet of beautifully laid out showrooms, covering three floors.

Introduction

We specialise in supplying hand-made traditional solid English oak, with one of the largest and finest collections in the South-East, including many pieces of Tudor Oak, Titchmarsh and Goodwin and R.E.H Kennedy, many from stock at reduced prices. Also, hand-made cherry and veneered furniture, including Theodore Alexander. All our stock items are available for immediate delivery. We are also very experienced in producing furniture to customer's own specifications, so can cater for anyone, regardless of style, contemporary or traditional. We also offer a varied selection of upholstery, including sofa beds, from stock or to order, in special sizes and fabrics or leather, made by the finest English upholsterers including Parker & Farr, Zoffany, Artistic Upholstery, Greensmith, Whitehead Designs, Art Forma, David Knight, Steed, Tetrad, Contrast, Michael Tyler and Derwent. 

A curtain making service is also readily available, but we can supply any of our fabrics by the metre, along with wall coverings and paints from the leading fabric houses, such as; Romo, Villa Nova, Kirkby House, Linwood, Colefax and Fowler, Arthur Sanderson, Ian Sanderson, JAB, Parkertex, Mulberry, G P & J Baker, Zoffany, Ross, Covertex, Jane Churchill, Jason D’souza, Marvic, Jim Dickens, to name a few. We also stock a lovely range of throws and cushions from Sibona to complement our English made range of mattresses by Dreamworks.

Accessories

All the above is backed up with a vast array of mirrors made by a number of suppliers including Deknudt, tapestries, occasional furniture, bronzes, prints, porcelain, Isle of Wight and Jonathan Harris Glass, William Yeoward Crystal and our own range of over a thousand pieces of the finest quality Italian Pewter. You will find the extremely collectible Frogman bronze sculptures on display in our showroom, designed by English artist Tim Cotterill, along with the equally amazing bronze animal sculptures by Dutchman Loet Vanderveen.  

There are many items by Scottish sculpture, David Marshall, who specialises in creating abstract, but practical items from Brass and Aluminium.

No interior is complete without lighting, and we pride ourselves on our huge stock of lamps, shades and ceiling lighting from Impex, Rochamp, Jenny Worrall, Interiors 1900, Elstead, Isabel Lui’s, Carlos Remes, Smithbrook Lighting, and of course the beautiful glass creations of Parisian artist Sylvie Montagnon, which are exclusive to us.

We also have a superb selection of silk flowers and decorative accessories in all price ranges, to complement our furniture.
