Some of the Benefits of being a Chamber of Commerce Member:

• The Chamber of Commerce run this high performing website which attracts a significant number of visitors per month (Feb 2012: 11,454 unique visitors, 21,372 visits, 1,076,760 hits), so is a fantastic resource for you and your business.

• You may have a full listing on this website in as many categories as you wish (fair usage policy) and several links to your own website. You may also request your own special page where you can have several photos, lots of information about your business and several deep links to your own website.

• You may list any special event you are holding in our events diary.

• We publish the Newsletter "InCinque" which goes out to the wider community by email with links to the Tenterden website

• The Big Society. You are helping to support the Tenterden community. We allow non business charities, local clubs, groups, societies, schools and churches in Tenterden and the surrounding area a webpage on this website free of charge. We also list contact details for all Clubs and Societies in the area and we list most of their events in our events diary free of charge.

• You may post in all categories in our Tenterden Forum. Current forums are: General Forum, Events, Clubs and Activities, Promotions and Special Offers, The Property Corner, Job vacancies, Legal Help Forum, Car Share Forum, Buy and Sell, and a Forum for the Young in Tenterden

• We give you an early opportunity to advertise in brochures and programmes of local events such as the Folk Festival, and Tentertainment which alone attracts well over 10,000 visitors to Tenterden every year

• You can become better acquainted with other businesses in Tenterden and the surrounding area. We run networking meetings every month, which are an opportunity to meet the committee and network with colleagues. Many of these networking events are hosted by one of our member businesses which means a glass or so of wine and a few nibbles are provided free of charge to you.

• You may attend our Chamber of Commerce computer group, affectionately known as TWITS (Tenterden Website and Information Technology Society), for the novice to the very experienced. Topics include software (Powerpoint, Excel, Word), email marketing, website design, search engine optimisation, Facebook, Twitter etc.  See here for further information about TWITS.

• We run the official Tenterden Twitter account www.twitter.com/tenterdentown  and the official Tenterden Facebook account www.facebook.com/tenterden 

• We have affiliation with the Wealden Business Group (WBG) - Chamber members can attend up to 6 WBG breakfast networking meetings each year on an ad hoc basis. A very useful opportunity to network with other businesses in the Weald of Kent

• We have affiliation with the Oxney Rural Business Group

• We run various events every year including Late Night Shopping and organise the Christmas lights in Tenterden High Street

• We work together with Tenterden Improved - a brochure has recently been created to promote Tenterden and the surrounding villages as a destination attraction with some 100,000 brochures distributed by Take One Media throughout the south east of England and Europe

• We are at present developing a Vineyard Tour of the area which will bring even more visitors to our district

• We have a Central Office (Tenterden & District Chamber of Commerce, Bell House, Bells Lane, Tenterden, Kent) if you wish to air views - please feel free to pop in at any time during the day

• 2012 Chamber of Commerce annual fee £80 if paid by standing order (otherwise £100 per year)
