Located in the heart of the Garden of England, Tenterden restaurants and cafes
embrace the fresh local Kentish produce available to produce a wide range of
cuisines from traditional English to Italian, Thai, Chinese and Indian dishes.
Tenterden is home to a large concentration of food and drink producers
and to celebrate it affiliation with food, the town held an inaugural Food
Festival at the end of 2007. A variety of food related events were held over
the three-day festival including a talk from celebrity chef, Mary Berry, a
Junior Master Chef Competition using only local produce, plus many food and
drink tasting sessions with industry experts. The second Tenterden Food
Festival is planned for November 2008
