Helping Hands is a domestic agency within the Day Centre providing domestic help, care and support for the elderly and disabled to remain their own homes. Our Helping Hands domestic agency provides care and support for the elderly in their own homes including: General housework, washing and ironing, Cooking, Shopping, Collecting pensions and prescriptions, escorting to dentists, surgeries and hospitals. At Tenterden Day Centre we do all we can to help the elderly and disabled enjoy ordinary activities in life and give them the opportunity to take part in as many activities as possible. The core activities ensure that the clients maintain their independence through informed choices whilst retaining their individuality, dignity, privacy and confidentiality in a safe, friendly, happy environment through the provision of personal care, social interaction, entertainment, quality meals and transport.
Hearing Loss Clinic is held at the Tenterden Day Centre every Wednesday 10am-11am. A trained adviser is on hand to offer advice, information and minor repairs (hearing tests are not carried out) 01580 764158

Tenterden Counselling Service - TCS

Tenterden Counselling Service (TCS) was founded in 1983 and is a non-profit making registered charity and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). TCS provides counselling services in Tenterden and the surrounding villages.
The Service seeks to promote personal growth towards psychological and emotional health. It offers a professional service with counsellors who are either fully trained to diploma level or beyond, or with counsellors who are at an advanced stage of their training. All have regular clinical supervision to meet the requirements of BACP and to maintain high standards of care.
Counselling is available for individuals or couples through health, occupational or self referral. Any personal information disclosed to a counsellor is confidential to TCS.
As an organisational member of BACP, Tenterden Counselling Service is bound by its Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and is subject to the BACP Professional Conduct Procedure.
