Tenterden Osteopathic & Homeopathic Practice
Jean Osborne LCH MHMA MGH
My practice was established after I qualified in 1994 following four years of intensive training. I am a licentiate of The College Of Homeopathy and a member of both The Homeopathic Medical Association and Homeopaths. For advice, information or appointments please call 01580 766424 between 9.30am and 3pm, Monday to Thursday. Homeopathic medicine provides a gentle, safe and effective alternative to the treatment of illness, common ailments and conditions by conventional means. The basic principle behind homeopathic thinking is to attempt to restore balance in a sick person by treating the reason for the disorder, rather than suppressing the symptoms with drugs. Everyone has their own innate healing ability. Homeopathic medicines aim to stimulate this capacity for self-healing by mobilising these natural defence systems. Once the underlying disorder has been sufficiently dealt with, the symptoms vanish, restoring equilibrium.
The word 'homeopathy' comes from the language of the Ancient Greeks and means 'similar suffering', perhaps better known as 'treating like with like'.
