Our
responsibilities:
Tenterden Town Council has responsibility for
Public Buildings in the Town such as the Town Hall, "The Pebbles" which
contains the Library as well as the Tenterden and St. Michaels Recreation
Grounds. The Town Council has a consultation role for a number of issues
including Planning and Highways issues. In the historic Town Hall, the Assembly
Room which can accommodate up to 180 people and the Mayor's Parlour which is
licensed for the conduct of wedding ceremonies are available for hire. We also
offer for hire the Sports Pavilion which is located in the Recreation Ground.

TENTERDEN TOWN COUNCIL
TWINNING with
AVALLON |

The Tenterden and
District Town Twinning Association was formed in 1989 following the twinning
charter between Tenterden and Avallon (France)
The aim of the association is to
promote and organise exchanges of residents and friends between the towns and
to encourage commerce and friendship within and between the townspeople. On
exchange visits the host town usually provides accommodation in individual
members' homes. Also, during the year, there is a social programme for members
of the association. |
