Local Blue Box Scheme

"Blue box" recycling boxes are in use in Tenterden and are collected once a fortnight. The scheme is run by Ashford Borough Council.  Blue boxes are used to recycle glass, paper, cans and textiles. Check here to find out which day of the week your blue box will be collected.

Black Sack Domestic Refuse Collection

Domestic refuse should be placed in black sacks or dustbins and will be collected from residential properties weekly Monday to Friday between 7am and 6pm. Please do not put your bags or bin out for collection before 6.30pm on the evening before your collection day. Ashford Borough Council do not operate Wheelie bin collections.  To find out which day of the week your collection will be click here 
 
Refuse collected in the borough of Ashford does not go to landfill. Instead it is used to generate electricity at a power from waste facility outside Maidstone. For further information please go to the Kent Enviropower website www.kentenviropower.co.uk

 

Bulk Refuse Collection

Ashford Borough Council can collect bulk items from domestic premises that are not collected on the normal weekly refuse service. For more information click here .
