Tenterden is surrounded by the High Weald Area, an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with easy access to an unbeatable range of country activities.

Walkers can easily explore the spectacular scenery surrounding the town and follow the country trails. There are circular walks in and around the town, or if that's too energetic, why not 'park, walk and ride' - by steam train.

The quiet country lanes are also a cyclist heaven with cycle route 18 linking Tenerden to both Ashford and Tunbridge Wells.

Horse riding is available locally and anglers can try their luck in the well stocked lakes, river and trout waters. Golfers are also sploit for choice with top quality courses locally including the international course at Chart Hills.
