Raspberry Oast is a mile (down Smallhythe Rd) from the beautiful Georgian Town of Tenterden. The Oast overlooks a lovely garden  and cherry orchard. There is beautiful cherry blossom in the Spring  and delicious cherries available in the Summer months.  A full English breakfast is provided and Tenterden Town has many pubs and restaurants to dine out in the evening and shops to explore in the daytime. It also has the Kent and East Sussex Steam railway. This is a lovely way to see’ The Garden of England’.

There are a variety of places to explore from Raspberry Oast  - Chapel Down Vineyard and the Ellen Terry Museum are only half a mile away, Sissinghurst Castle (a must for garden lovers) is 4 miles away and the ancient Cinque port of Rye is 9 miles away.

We have 1 double room and shower room available. The room has a lovely view across the garden and the cherry orchard. There is a TV in the room and  tea and coffee making facilities. The Old Inn is the historic home of Gavin and Lorraine. They acquired it in 2004 when the property was almost derelict. They spent considerable time and in depth research and have now restored this magnificent building to its former glory. The Old Inn has a rich history, starting in the 17c when it was a Coaching Inn. It was converted into a private residence in the 19c and since then many famous people have resided and visited this glorious home.

All of our rooms are en-suite and are newly re-furbished to a very good standard. Flat screen TVs with freeview, hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities, new luxurious beds and bedding, high pressure showers, heated towel rails, luxury towels and complimentary toiletries. Wi-Fi in public areas and rooms. Allocated parking space for each guest room, with plenty of additional parking in the town centre car parks close by.

7 miles from Tenterden. A spacious and beautifully furnished Kentish Oast Barn which, being on the highest point in the Weald, has outstanding views over the surrounding countryside. The comfortable accommodation is ideally based to explore the many historic and beautiful gardens and other attractions of Kent and Sussex.

Forget those all Travelodge's and Inns next to motorways. Instead enjoy the countryside and stay at the 4**** Bethersden Old Barn bed and breakfast - a converted 18th century listed Kentish Barn. There are plenty of exposed beams and original features, the beds are "really comfortable" (so our guests say) and the breakfasts simply delicious.

The Old Barn Bed and Breakfast is situated mid way between Ashford and Tenterden, just on the edge of Bethersden village, right in the heart of the "Darling buds of May country". It is a great central base for visiting all the local sights and is convenient for both Eurostar at Ashford, Eurotunnel at Folkestone and the sea crossings at Dover. It's now only 37 minutes into central London from Ashford International station.

Sissinghurst's famous gardens and Scotney and Bodiam Castles (all National Trust) are a short drive, the coast and historic Canterbury a little further. Tenterden (5 miles) offers good shopping and the Kent and Sussex Steam Railway. Pub 250 yards, shop and another pub 500 yards.
