Situated just 10 minutes from Tenterden, our cottages are two beautifully converted stables, each with its own patio and overlooking our large natural pond. Each cottage has a double bedroom which sleeps 2 plus the option of a sofa bed in the lounge.

Pets are welcome and guests are invited to use our heated swimming pool.

This successful self-catering business of 22 years, situated in Tenterden High Street and within a short walk of all its shops and amenities, is now closed and the property has been placed in the hands of Messrs Warner Gray for sale.

However its equipment, furnishings, goodwill and history would be available to a purchaser of the property wishing to continue the venture.

Enjoy the countryside and stay at The Manger @ The Old Barn - Bethersden - a converted 18th century listed Kentish Barn. There are plenty of exposed beams and original features and the bed is "really comfortable" (so our guests say). The are 4 rooms in The Manger: Entrance hall. Comfortable and attractively furnished beamed sitting room. Modern fitted kitchen with dining area. Double bedroom. Bathroom/WC with separate shower cubicle.

The Manger is situated mid way between Ashford and Tenterden, on the edge of the picturesque village of Bethersden, right in the heart of the "Darling buds of May country". It is a great central base for visiting all the local sights and is convenient for both the Eurostar at Ashford, Eurotunnel at Folkestone and the sea crossings at Dover. It is only 37 minutes into central London from Ashford International station.

Sissinghurst's famous gardens and Scotney and Bodiam Castles (all National Trust) are a short drive, the coast and historic Canterbury a little further. Tenterden (5 miles) offers good shopping and the Kent and Sussex Steam Railway. Pub 250 yards, shop, butchers and another pub 500 yards.

Budds Farm Barn is the perfect location on the Kent and Sussex border for exploring Tenterden and Rye.
