Kent and East Sussex Railway Tenterden

Families can extend their day and explore the many wonderful delights on offer in the towns & villages surrounding each station. At Tenterden, discover the impressive play park and intriguing shops, or relax and unwind in one of the many cafes and pubs along the idyllic High Street.

At Bodiam station, the magnificent medieval castle is only a short walk and visitors can step back in history as they explore the impressive battlements and towers, which offer breath taking views across the countryside. Visitors presenting a valid Kent & East Sussex Railway ticket will be treated to discounted castle admission.

Tenterden and Northiam are situated on the A28 between Ashford and Hastings and both stations have spacious car parks which are free all day for visitors. Please note that there is no parking at Bodiam Station so those wishing to start their journey from Bodiam can park at the Castle for just £3 per day.

The Railway's facilities have been carefully designed with disabled, elderly and less mobile visitors in mind. There are parking spaces for Blue Badge holders next to the platform at Tenterden Town and Northiam stations, and accessible toilets at Tenterden, Northiam and Bodiam stations. The Railway is proud to boast a specially designed coach for wheelchair users called 'Petros' which is fitted with ramped access, wide aisles, an accessible toilet and moveable seating.
